Mom Appetit – Green Goodness Breakfast



If you are always on the go like me, trust me, this easy green smoothie recipe will be your best friend during hectic mornings!  It’s a great source of nutrients with low calories. Great for getting back into shape after giving birth! Plus with all the iron in the Spinach, it can help you avoid Anemia, a common pregnancy issue that leads to fatigue and hair loss.  I didn’t think I would like spinach until getting diagnosed with Iron deficiency Anemia during my second pregnancy. But then it became a life saver.

What you’ll need:

2 Cups of baby spinach

1 Green apple

1 Pear

1 Cup of water

* Add a banana for an energy boost or a couple of strawberries to add natural sweetness to this healthy, easy-to-make smoothie.

    Just wanted to say thank you for this… after giving birth a year ago to my lil girl I have had major hair loss after lots of tests at the Dr saying possible lupus and so on they have kept me guessing but I know for a fact I have anemia so I have been taking my extra iron daily now and have been looking for healthy ways of eating since I just recently found out I’m pregnant with my second. Thank you for all your posts!

    Is falling hair a symptom of low iron? My daughter has this issue and was just diagnosed low iron. Thanks for the recipe. Making it tomorrow for breakfast for her.
