Green Power Smoothie

WHAT YOU NEED:

1-2 cups of Spinach

1 Banana

1/2 Cucumber

1 1/2 cup of water

1 tsp Chia Seeds

1 tsp Maca Powder

This is one of my many go-to morning smoothies.  I have had this for breakfast for the last 3 days (I get hooked on a specific green juice/smoothie and I’ll make it every day for a week!).   Although it’s not very sweet it still taste good (and it’s so healthy!).  This specific smoothie gives me immediate energy.  The most powerful ingredient in this smoothie is the Maca Powder.  This super food comes from Peru (where Karen and I are from).  For centuries people have been using it for everything from enhancing their fertility to boosting their immune system or libido, but most people simply love the non-caffeinated burst of energy they get from putting Maca in their smoothies.  If I have a little extra time in the morning I like to spread peanut butter on a slice of bread, add bananas on top and sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon.
