Valentine’s Day Makeup Tutorial

lashes 3

Karen is gorgeous and needs little to no makeup in my opinion! I created this soft, feminine look that is perfect for Valentine’s Day!  The day before, she got her lashes done at the Pureza Salon and she looks even more gorgeous than normal as if that’s possible!.  This made it really easy to complete this makeup tutorial which was great for us because we had our little ones running and playing while I tried to quickly create this look and take some pictures afterwards too!

-Start with a clean face and don’t forget to moisturize!

-With a damp Beauty Blender apply the foundation of your choice.  The one I used on Karen is the Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation.  It’s pricey and I only recently got it a few months ago but it’s worth every penny in my opinion!  I did combined a little bit of the Strobe Cream by M.A.C with the foundation.  I also went ahead and applied the concealer too and then set it with the Laura Mercier Setting Powder.  Normally I would do the concealer after I’m done with the eyes but we were not using any dark colors so it was just fine.

-I filled her brows using the Dibrow Pomade by Anastasia Of Beverly Hills in the color Soft Brown ( I need to do an eyebrow tutorial soon!).  You MUST use an eyebrow gel afterwards.  Specially if you have little hairs that you want to keep still.

-After putting an eye primer all over the lid, I took a little bit of M.A.C pigment in the color vanilla and with a concealer brush I pressed it on the lid.  Then combining a pink and medium brown eyeshadow from the Chocolate Bar Eye Palette from Too Faced I applied the shadows on the crease and then used a blending brush so that it there were no harsh lines.

-To brighten up the eyes I used a nude color pencil (Pro pencil by Anastasia of Beverly Hills) on the water line. And finished the eyes with some mascara on the bottom lashes.

-I used a bronzer from Buxom in “Tahiti” and both Karen and I LOVE this bronzer.  It gives you a natural looking sun-kissed glow and it smells amazing! Now the blush! The blush I used is by Palladio in Herbal Matte Blush.  It’s a beautiful pink blush that I use all the time! It’s super budget friendly too! ($7 whaaaaat?!)  I placed this on the apple of the cheeks and then with our favorite highlighter of all time from Becca (Opal) I highlighted the top of her cheeks, chin and a little bit on the nose and whatever was left of the brush I applied to the temples.  If you are more fair the color “Moonstone” will be the best highlighter shade for you!

-I lined and filled her pretty lips with a lip liner by NYX #839 and then I used two lipstick to get the perfect shade of pink (M.A.C Matte lipstick in “Please me” and NYX#630).  I added a light pink gloss from Lorac for that extra shine.

-For the last step, I sprayed the Prep+Prime Finishing Mist from M.A.C to set the makeup!

I think she looks like a Barbie doll! Specially with those lovely eyelash extensions!  If you are local Pureza Salon is currently having a great Valentine’s Day special package!  Definitely check it out!
