Summer isn’t over yet. One simple sentence can bring me so much happiness. This week seems to have flown by and it has been mostly consumed with work, photoshoots, editing, styling and planning. At about 11pm last night I looked at my watch and pondered wether I should keep going or if I should take a break and finish the rest first thing in the morning.. Although I planned on finishing the task I was working on at that moment, I started to wonder if I had been outside all week long or not. I knew the answer to the question, of course I had been outside. I ran errands, I took the kids to their activities and I made it to the gym twice I think… Somehow it still didn’t feel like I had spent any time out in the sun. I never stopped and enjoyed the warmth of the sun on my face. I never went outside “just to breath fresh air”. All of the sudden I felt the need to control time so that I could see the clear blue sky and just skip the night. At least for one day. But.. do sunny days really guarantee happiness? I’m fortunate enough to be at a place in my career in which I absolutely love everything that I do and I have a great passion for the creative process of my work. I am happy. But will a sunny day add to my happiness? Based on my personal experience, I say the answer is YES. I truly believe that SUN+PEOPLE=HAPPINESS. That formula sounds good doesn’t it? Let’s be honest, life is more enjoyable when you share it with people that you love. So “people” do play a big role in your overall happiness. Because we know sunny days don’t last forever we need to take as much advantage as we can. Even on hectic busy days, for one minute walk outside, stand there in silence, look at the sky and contemplate how amazing life is. I did that this morning and I instantly felt recharged and in a higher mood. I will be enjoying every sunny hot day until it’s over. I specially love this time of the summer because you will most likely find great sales on your favorite brands and you don’t need to wait until next summer to wear them! You still have plenty of time to attend pool parties looking incredible and confident. Click on the links below for product prices and information.
